Diluents
Medical Practitioners of most every specialty use Diluents in the preparation and administration of certain medications. Most diluents do not contain any pharmacological action but are necessary for reconstituting drugs, cleaning wounds, or to flush catheter lines. Commonly used solvents used in diluting solutions include, but are not limited to, Sterile Water, Bacteriostatic Water, Bacteriostatic Sodium Chloride 0.9% and Sodium Chloride 0.9%.
